Two kinds of men, two states..

Two kinds of men, two states..

In Psalm chapter 1, we see two types of men. At the beginning, both of their minds are filled with two different matters. One man’s mind is filled with the counsel of the wicked, another man’s mind is filled with the Word of God.

The two men who grow with two different types of mindset, and are eventually established. One, stands in the way of the wicked, that is, he chooses a sinful life. The other settles by the rivers of living water.

The place in which we establish ourselves determines who we are becoming. The former becomes scornful and joins the group of scornful. He is in an unreturnable state. Hence, Proverbs 9:8 says, “Do not rebuke the mockers, or they will hate you.” And Proverbs 13:1 says, “a mocker does not respond to rebukes.”

Mockery and Blasphemy are like twins. A scornful blasphemes easily. The complete form of this is the Anti-Christ. “The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies,” says Rev 13:5. “It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name,” says verse 1 of the same chapter. “The proud and arrogant person -“Mocker” is his name – behaves with insolent fury,” the Proverbs 21:24 signifies him to us this way.

When a man becomes scornful, he utterly deserves to be punished. “If you are a mocker, you alone will suffer,” declaims Proverbs 9:12.  Furthermore Proverbs 19:29 utters, “Penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.” And verse 25 of the same chapter says, “Flog a mocker, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke the discerning, and they will gain knowledge.”

The latter who is planted by the streams of living water, becomes like a tree that yields its fruit in season and its leaves does not wither. It is his nature to yield the fruit of righteousness. This is growing in the image of Christ. ‘The tree that is planted by the rivers of water,’ denotes stability and longevity.

Nonetheless, the former is compared to a “chaff.” He will be blown away as chaff. The Anti-Christ will be thrown away as hay, he will be overthrown by the breath of the mouth of Christ and he will be destroyed by the splendour of coming of the Lamb of God. (2 Thess 2:8)

Briefly saying, in the last days, the people divide into two groups and become two different types of men. One group will be growing in the image of Anti-Christ.  “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people,” declaims 2 Tim 3:1-5. Jude 1:18 says, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” 2 Peter 3:3 utters, “in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.”

Whilst the other group will sprout in the image of Christ with the characteristics of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness and faithfulness. Altogether, when Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth, there will only be two persons. One is “Christ” and the other is “Anti-Christ.” One is “Sheep” and the other is “Goat.”

Hence, Rev 22:11,12 utters, “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy. Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”

All of these begins with one thing, what people fill their mind with; either the counsel of the wicked or the Word of God.

Beloved readers, what do you infuse your children with? The Word of God or the counsel of ungodly? To raise your children as Anti-Christ, you do not have to give them Satanic Bible or teach them witchcraft and black magic. A mobile phone is enough to teach them everything that lies across the whole world.

I am not telling that you must not allow your children to use mobile phones at all. I am just saying that never let them to choose mobile phones as their teacher that teaches about life.

Uttering again, the ones who fill their minds with the steps of the wicked in the beginning, become the image of Anti-Christ and are overthrown as chaff in the end. The ones who fill their minds with the Word of God, become the image of Christ and are planted by the streams of living water, and they live eternally.

What are you and your family filling your mind with?
