Zoe – Rightful Son

As an Emperor had to visit a foreign country urgently, he told his ministers to coronate his elder son among both of his sons as the next emperor. The elder son who is to be coronated is called “Zoe (Zoe is the Greek word for Life).” He is a mystery to the ministers. Therefore they were troubled to make him the emperor. Hence, they considered the younger son, the “Righteousness of God.”

It is not because they understood or they loved the “Righteousness of God”, but because they had someone who resembles just like him, called “Self-Righteousness”. So they imprisoned “Righteousness of God” and coronated his look-alike “Self-Righteousness” as the emperor to fulfill their selfish purposes.

This is what happens today in Christianity. Whenever the Bible talks about redemption it emphasizes much about Zoe(Life).

The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:4)

The crown of life. (James 1:12)
Living stones. (1 Peter 2:5)
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:12)
Tree of life. (Rev 22:2)

This is how redemption is related mainly with death and Zoe(life), whereas nowadays we can see that Christianity preaches about redemption relating it with sin and Holiness. It is not because of their desire towards Holiness. But because Life is something that is mysterious and incomprehensible to them.

On the other hand, they did not comprehend Holiness also. But it is easy to preach about Holiness relating it with deeds of flesh. By preaching so, we can accuse, threaten and enslave people and do commercial business by using Holiness just as the early Roman church that sold the indulgences.

Undoubtedly Holiness and Righteousness of God are very crucial. But the Bible exalts life as the foremost outcome of redemption above all. The Bible denotes death as the last enemy to be destroyed. Therefore, it is the duty of the people who know the Truth to preach and meditate about Life more than anything. Because this discourse is much rare and scarce in Christianity. Talk more about life because only it will satiate the Author of Life.
