The Lord of Kings
There is a debate among us that has been prolonging for days, whether Christians should take part in politics. Many indulge themselves in politics as they need a representative to talk for themselves. It is good. This article does not talk about it, well, not about the sect’s sake Christians.
This article is not about the born again, infantile Christians (like a child on milk diet) who are completely dependent. The New Testament calls them “Teknon” in Greek. However, no one can deny their contribution in spreading the Gospel about Christ and in ministry. Father has fulfilled half of His will through His children.
This article is about the sons of God (adults) who are grown, fed by the word of God, who know who they are in Christ, who can distinguish about the good and desirable will of God, who know how to utilize faith to fulfill affairs, and who function just like Jesus Christ. The New Testament calls them “Huios” in Greek.
What is the relation between the Sons of God and politics? Isn’t it a life of complete devotion and spirituality? Not just that! Listen carefully to these words : Sovereign ‘governance,’ Kingdom of ‘Heaven.’ Politics and us are inseparable.
But our polity is not limited within nations. It is not subjected to race, religion, language, political party or anything. Though the domain of polity is the spiritual realm, the consequences reflect only on the earth. The political war is between ‘the Church (Kingdom of Heaven) and Babylon (World System)’
The head of the opposite party is the Harlot, dressed in purple and scarlet, glittering with gold and holds a golden cup and sits on seven mountains (Rev 17). With the wine (deception) of the golden cup, she intoxicates the kings and the inhabitants of the earth. It is her duty to deceive them and bind them all in an illusion. It is our duty to clarify them from the intoxication of her wine through truth and to assist them in progressing to the next level. This is the polity that happens here.
Some Biblical scholars categorize that the seven mountains that she sits on are religion, family, education, government, media, arts and commerce. These seven mountains are not hers, but ours. We have to conquer those seven mountains for the Kingdom of Heaven. This is what it means.
For us who are involved in this polity, our Heavenly Father has given endless authority and a high position. While we are struggling here to find an opportunity to become a representative in order to place our requests before kings, look at the position that our Heavenly Father has given us:
Kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground; they will lick the dust at your feet. (Isaiah 49:23)
He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. (Isaiah 41:2)
“Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined. (Isaiah 60:10,12)
Do we know the desirable and good will of God? Do we know to spin the sword of spirituality just like Christ Jesus to fulfill the will of our Father? This is the only thing that is important. If we have that..
As for you, watchtower of the flock, stronghold of Daughter Zion, the former dominion will be restored to you; kingship will come to Daughter Jerusalem. (Micah 4:8)
