One day in Eden… .

Eve and the serpent were conversing; God did not intervene then. Adam and Eve sinned listening to the serpent; God did not intervene there, too. After they knew that they had sinned, they felt guilty and ran out to hide behind the trees.

It was then, God inquired, “Adam, where are you?”

Eventually, Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden.

Jesus Christ, the seed of woman forthcame. He went to the cross.. He created the new Eden, which is the Kingdom of Heaven. He has aboded us as spiritual Adams and Eves in the Kingdom of Heaven.

One day in New Eden…

Eve and the serpent were conversing; God did not intervene then. Adam and Eve sinned listening to the serpent; God did not intervene there, too. After they knew that they had sinned, they felt guilty and ran to hide themselves.

This time, the serpent bewildered and called out, “Adam, where are you?”

Adam replied, “I am dwelling in the shelter of the Most High, resting in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). I am hiding in Christ who is my rock, abiding near the Calvary Cross. Christ, my Savior is merciful, He is unfailing in love, with Him is full redemption (Psalm 130:7). He is rich in mercy (Ephes 2:4).

Now, the serpent alone left the garden disappointed.

Dear readers, this is the greatness of the Cross! This is how the serpent was defeated in our lives.

I am not writing this article to give believers false hopes that they can sin as they wish and ask God for forgiveness. “Go now and leave your life of sin,” (John 8:11) is the commandment of Christ. God knows that no child of His sins wilfully. At the same time, it is practically true that a believer tends to commit sin because of his weakness towards flesh or other reasons.

If you ever sin, do not try to hide yourselves from God, as old Adam did. Run to God and hide yourself in him, confess your sins. Receive your forgiveness. If you feel that grace has been taken away from you after sinning, it is a lie. The sole truth is that grace surrounds you to lift you up from there. Depend yourself on grace more than before. Then, not only from guilty conscience, you will be delivered from the sin, too.
