Christ = Life

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Romans 6:23)

The Bible that says that the wages of sin is death, does not proclaim that the gift of God, eternal life comes from the opposite of sin, Holiness or from discipline, instead it says that the eternal life comes from Jesus Christ.

The Bible that relates death to deeds or nature, relates life to a person. Even though we have read this verse from our childhood, We may have this understanding as a result of being used to hearing legalistic sermons from the beginning.. Eternal life cannot be given by spiritual deeds, only Christ can bestow it.

If you ask me if it is not necessary to live holy, not really. Because when the Lord of life, Christ comes inside us, our life becomes holy naturally.

Obtaining Christ is salvation, Christ is life (Philip 1:21). Every other thing is a by-product. We must never let the position of Christ to be occupied by any other things.
