Well, Who Are You All?
Most of the debates of Indian Christians on the Facebook giddify me. It is because of the ignorance of my brothers and sisters. One asks, “Saturday is the Sabbath according to the Bible, why don’t you observe it?” On the other hand, some ask “can we eat meat according to the Bible?” Some keep researching if we can eat the meat of the animals with horns or with cloven hoof. And some inquire whether he could pierce our ear or shave the mid of our eyebrows. Such questions are raised not only on Facebook, but also during question and answer sessions when going to take seminars in congregations.
Suppose you travel on a time mission to the time of Moses, the writer of the Old Testament laws, and meet him there. You inquire him of all your doubts. After listening to all your questions, his only question will be,
“Well, who are you all?”
The problem here is, you know the Mosaic Law, but the Mosaic Law does not know you. It will only check if you are circumcised, and whether you belong to any one of the twelve seeds of Jacob. But we non-jews are completely unrelated to it!
Beloved readers, through the great deeds of our Christ Jesus, we are all under the most supreme Covenant, much better than the Law! We are given the Old Testament to know the shadows of the ideology of Christ hidden in it. You are dwelling as His Children under His powerful wings.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Gal 5:1).
