Will Jehovah Jireh provide a car?
“The term Jehovah Jireh is not about provide you a car. It talks about providing a lamb as a sacrifice for you“
This quote had been circling on the internet these days. It was said by an honorable preacher whom I like. He said, “do not consider the Lord as an ATM machine, to just provide for your worldly blessings. The name ‘Jehovah Jireh’ has a deep meaning beyond that, it is about the deliverance of our souls.” This is also the context of the Bible for the name ‘Jehovah Jireh.’
But I would like to share here about the Pharisaic mentality of the believers, who had commented on the above mentioned post on Facebook. You should not appraise a believer merely, when you are stable financially. You must not stigmatize a mere believer who calls to God to heal his diseases, when you are healthy. You might know if you were on their shoes.
As far as I know, most of the people who shared this post would be owning a nice car. I put this question before them:
It is true that Jehovah Jireh gave the Lamb of God for you. However, who blessed you with a car?
If your answer is God blessed me with a car, then why do you share this post? Jehovah Jireh gave you a car also, didn’t He?
The Bible that says that a believer should not seek God only for his worldly needs (1 Corin 15:19), also says clearly that you must ask Him to grant you your needs, apart from redemption (Matt 6:11).
The ones who say, “Let Him grant me only Holiness, I shall seek the rest for myself,” have not really understood the meaning of redemption, or they do not want to experience the full of redemption. God wants us to surrender ourselves to Him completely, He wants to be our everything.
Not only gifts like deliverance, anointing and ministry, everything that we use in lives, including a tiny pin, is bestowed by Him. Not only manna for our souls, He is the one who feeds us with bread everyday. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights. This is a family, He is our Father! Till the last day of our life on this earth, even a tiny drop of water that we drink, is His gift.
We are completely His. He is ours. This feeling is the most beautiful and complete worship.
