What do we seek for?
God > Desires > the Sermons we hear > Transformation of mind > Appropriate Seeking > Appropriate Journey
Self > Lust > Inappropriate Sermons > Deception > Incorrect Seeking > Diverted Journey
Seeking plays an important role in determining the journey of our Christian Life. Our seeking depends on the knowledge that we have on Christian life. This knowledge comes from where, from whom, about what we learn. Therefore it is important to be aware of what books we read, and what sort of sermons we listen to.
We listen to sermons that are desirable to our hearts. This is where the path separates into two. Desires can come either from God, or from our Flesh (self). What comes from God is desire. The one that comes from Flesh is lust. This is the reason why some believers followed apostles like Paul while others sought the sermons from preachers, that were pleasing to their ears.
OK, whose minds are filled with desires of God? And whose minds are possesed with Lust? It is determined by who we choose to rule our minds.
The one that journeys on the right path, will be influenced by grace and will become a disciple that bears fruit of righteousness. The one that travels on the wrong path, will become either a fruitless, untransformed sectarian that follows rituals, or into a Pharisee who only obeys the Mosiac Law and try to be righteous through his deeds.
