Not only to worship, but to reign too
You cannot accept this article if you read it perceiving today’s Church. Read it imagining how the Church should have been. We are going to accomplish that state sooner. Not through our strength, but God’s.
The church I am referring to here has nothing to do with the so called Christian religion. Because I am not mentioning about today’s Church which is organisational and is split into various denominations here. I am talking about the Church which is segregated by the Lord and is not visible to the worldly eyes, the supreme Church called Ecclesia. This Church is the Bride of Christ which consists of Children of God. It is spotless and is trained by the Holy Ghost of God. It is headed by Christ, in whom various people of various region and culture become one body.
“Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division,” Said Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 12:51). Here, division does not mean enmity. It represents the division of groups depending on a particular factor. It is not trivial for an ordinary man to create such division, but only by a powerful influential person. Lord Jesus Christ had made such an influence during the time he lived, and he had called us to do the same (Matt 5:13, 14).
Again, I’m not talking about today’s institutional churches of Christian religion here. I am talking about Ecclesia, the chosen Sons of God. I speak of the Bride of Christ, I am talking about the invisible universal Church. Don’t confuse this with the religious Christianity you see today in this world.
Today Church(institutional churches) is dependent on a political party, despite knowing the scams of it. Nonetheless, it is not the intent of God! Political parties should depend on the Church(Ecclesia) instead, turning the state upside down. The circumstances should change, the world politics should be relying only upon the Church(Ecclesia) as, political parties that support the Church(Ecclesia), and the parties that oppose the Church(Ecclesia). How is this possible? Should we do politicks instead of worshipping God and saving the souls. Not really..When the influence of the Kingdom of Heaven reflects strongly over the societal, national education, arts, economy, polity, culture and everything, this change will happen by itself. God has chosen us as the channel for this.
Believers are not a group of people, secluding the worldly life, spending their whole life time alone somewhere and go to heaven after death. How many of us know that the Church is the earthly office of the Heavenly Kingdom? It has been 2000 years since we got the right to rule. The only problem is that, we are still infants (in knowledge). When a child of a Royal Family grows, he acclaims the throne by himself. Today’s servants of God are supposed to raise the children of God by nurturing them with the milk of wisdom, the Word of God.
When someone says to a child of a Royal Family, “your enemy rules your nation,” it is not to teach him to accept the enemy’s rule but to stir him to take over his rightful property from his enemy! Likewise, the verse, “the whole world is under the control of the evil one,” is not written to tell us, “you have to stay out because your rule is given to prince of the world,” but to kindle us, “dust yourself off and rise!”
We are called, not just to worship, but to reign! But I am not asking any of you to enter into politics, to take charge in an authoritative position, through this article. I am reminding this once again. But it will be good, if children of God who are interested in politics, enters it. May God rise more such people! But the central point of this article is that, the Church should become powerful enough to determine the polity of the nation. What is the relation between cinema and polity? Just think, how cinema determines the polity of our country today! The state must change, the rulers of the nation, higher authorities should consult the Church before enforcing a law. The judges, prophets of the Bible, not just them, a group of devotees called the Puritans, influenced the governance in Europe and America some centuries before.
The day will come, when the Lord vitrifies the Church. Then, as Moses, we would stand upright as a factor of division before the world and enquire, “whoever is for the Lord, come to me!” How long can we be patient in accepting the abandoned justice for the poor, dead fairness, and the rule of the cunning and the slaves?
But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! (Amos 5:24)
