Enemy that swallows our time

Certain political comedians speak controversial subjects intentionally and it becomes a hot topic in news channels and social media, critics debate about these stuff, only to divert people’s attention. Simultaneously, the wealth of the country is being pillaged behind the curtains.

Even in our lives, we face problems one after the other, be it work pressure or anything that burdens us. Behind this drama, our time is being stolen.

Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
(Psalm 90:10)

‘Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,’ says the Bible in Hebrews 9:27. Our nemesis is an expert in killing time until death, for he has 6000 years of experience in it. He had experimented this with trillions of people of various region, race and cultures. Therefore, it is not difficult for him to handle us in the same way.

Hence, we shall turn our focus towards our spiritual lives despite any circumstances that we are in. Let us renovate our altar, the spiritual life of prayer, which has been unkempt. All the troubles will fade away by itself as mist before the sun. If we spend our time in correcting the worldly problems, when we die one day, it is sure to lose eternity then. Let us be aware and prudent.

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)
