Exorcists, for your information!!
Some years ago, I watched a video that advertised a famous exorcist (A Christian preacher who claims to have the gift of exorcism) from Africa who then came to Singapore. His adventurous procedures of exorcism were shown in it. He gimmicked and contorted the victims who seemed to be so pathetic. But, I do not know if they were truly redeemed.
Today this condition is prevalent in India also. As there are numerous Christian TV channels, they telecast their daring exorcism processes, to sustain their mercantilism.
I researched how Lord Jesus approaches this. There is no doubt that he also drove away the evil spirits in front of a large number of people. It was unavoidable, as he was always surrounded by a mass of people. But he did not use exorcism as a tool to widen his ministry.
Just think, if Jesus were alive today, would he hire a videographer to record and telecast his exorcism activities as an advertisement to extend his ministry? He would not depend on anything for his success but the Father.
Most of the victims harmed by this are innocent rural women.
Behold, priests, who use exorcism as your marketing strategy! Where have you learned this displeasing technique from? Is it from the God or from the Apostles?
How can you advertise the struggles of innocent women with their attire sliding off? Where does your humanity go when you record and telecast such events?
Don’t you think for a moment about the self-esteem of those women? Just in case, if she’s a student from a college or high school, how would she face her classmates when they have witnessed her strives. How can she face her neighbors? How do you justify it to be spiritual, when you gain respect by destroying other’s self-respect?
Question : Brother, the priest had redeemed that woman from evil spirits. But you are blabbering about self-esteem and disrespect. It might be an advertisement for the priest. But, isn’t he glorifying the name of God? After witnessing the troubles she underwent, how many people will trust God!! Even a non- Christian will have faith in Christ. As a matter of fact, the telecasted woman has done her part in the ministry. She would be blessed for that. But you are confusing us all!
Answer : That’s true brother. I praise God if she was truly redeemed. God has chosen us and called us to expiate others on the earth. But the rest you said are all false. The modern Christianity has taught you doctrine against the Bible.
Even if what you are saying is true, let me ask you a question. If the pastor has a daughter of the same age as the possessed one, will he pray and plead to God for her redemption in private or in public? Why doesn’t he record and telecast the unpleasant struggles of his own daughter for the glory of God?
While the priest ornates his own children with beautiful dresses and telecast them singing songs before their sermon begins, he uses other women’s strifles to advertise his ministry. Is this the Christian Love? Will the Lord God want his name to be glorified like this? The Bible nails down, ‘So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets’ (Matt 7:12). The crucial commandment, ‘love others as you love yourself’ is beaten up here.
The women related to these events cannot even ask the pastor why he telecasted their strifles. He would spiritually blackmail them that he is using it for the glory of God’s name. If he does this to upperclass women, they would sue him for defamation. These pastors are just ridiculing the innocent campestral women.
Show some love towards the naive rural people. The Bible warns, ‘Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker’ ( Pro 17:5). If not, at least try to be humane, to video-edit and conceal the women’s faces.
